Originally Established in 1921 by former president, J.E. Davis

The early mission of Williams & Davis focused on the principles of organizing and analyzing geographic information. The firm carefully managed project work to ensure growth without the need for venture capital or going public. Williams & Davis projects included developing plans for redesigning hot water and steam boilers in selecting a site for the growing town of Dallas, Texas. From these early projects emerged concepts for processes and tools that could be applied in an automated steam and hot water environment.

The Great Depression started when the stock parket crashed on October 29, 1929, known as Black Tuesday.

Despite the difficulties of this era, these products helped the newly incorporated Williams & Davis Boilers maintain its profitability. In the following years Williams & Davis began distributing boilers in every part of the country.
